Billy Kaplan makes massively terrible decisions! he is going to run off and fight his denizen immediately, later (tomorrow) he will regret this TERRIBLE DECISION and ask.... for some help... begrudgingly.

ANYONE CAN GET IN ON THIS, the denizen is a sort of uh. horrible spider/man hybrid who runs a chain of printing presses, his powers include sonic yelling (includes force fields, sonic blasts, etc), noxious toxic cigar smoke, and terrifying slashy spider claws. He is INCREDIBLY ANGRY ALL THE TIME, and sort of just... yells these tirades. constantly. at anyone within earshot (thanks to the sonic yelling, within earshot is QUITE FAR AWAY). He's also very interested in getting the Next Big Scoop, so he can be distracted with interesting article proposals and front page photos. If he likes them, he might let you live.

There is a memo up now that takes place immediately before billy stomps off to fight JJJ, but obviously has bitten off WAY MORE THAN HE CAN CHEW, WOW. I'll post a log and a memo tomorrow (possibly late-ish because I also have to paint my room)! if you have any questions you can ask here or IM me, this is totally open to anyone! low level players too, even if you are not good at fighting you can SUBMIT STORIES to the horrible denizen to try to distract him from like, yelling at people until their brain leaks out their ears (his preferred method of execution). I don't expect any SUPER DRAMATIC INJURIES to occur but scrapes and cuts and broken bones can and should happen!

Hey gang, just so folks know, the test drive meme that went up earlier today was posted in error – we had previously decided not to have one this month but we hadn't thought we needed to make a post saying so, so, here is a post saying so!

By way of explanation, it's because we don't actually want a huge throng of app excitement, if anything we would prefer to keep that to a minimum! The reason this last app round is happening is not to get as many people as we can in at the last minute, it's to give people a chance to app in if they'd been putting off making a decision. The massive diversion of everyone's attention and the flurry of enabling people into apping new characters that invariably accompanies the test drive meme is pretty much the last thing we want at this point in the game. SORRY WE HATE FUN, if you do want to test characters you're thinking about apping, doing it on dear_mun or test posts on personal journals is still entirely possible! We would, however, advise against apping characters just because you can! Characters apped now aren't going to be in the game for very long, and things are going to be getting busier in the run up to endgame, which will inevitably make them a bit harder to involve.

On which note, as some people have asked about this – we don't plan on letting more people in this round than the usual 15. The limit was implemented in the first place way back when because it'd gotten disruptive to have lots of people come in on a regular basis, and that's no less true now than at any point in the past. If anything it's even more true, as we'd more than ever rather have people's attention on stuff that's in the game already – we've always prioritised that over accommodating as great a number of new applicants as possible.

If we get a good few more than 15 apps that we think would be super awesome to have around this late in the game then we may end up going over the limit, but if we get like twice the normal amount of apps or something, there's no way in heck we are letting all of them in because dannggggggggg. (We don't really anticipate that happening, but just so you know that's the deal!)
